This illustrated catalogue was published in conjunction with a 2006-7 exhibition in the Carl A. Kroch Library's Hirshland Gallery at Cornell University. It traces the history of Poe's extraordinary career and features more than 60 rare items from Tane's remarkable collection, including many of Poe's manuscripts, editions of his most famous poem, "The Raven", and copies of several first editions, including Poe's first published work, "Tamerlane and Other Poems", one of only 12 copies known to exist. Quarto: 120 pp. with full-color photographs throughout. Original brown cloth binding, with black-stamped titles and a silhouette of a raven blind-stamped on the front board. Some rippling in the laminate on the rear panel of the dust jacket; else very good or better.
