West Newton, Massachusetts, 1960. Very Good. Signed. Single page typed letter from Isaac Asimov. "Thank you very much for the copy of the editorial concerning the error in the 10,000 place value of pi. This is news to me. Yes, I did know that ALEPH is one to the Hebrews, just as alpha was one to the Greeks...[instructions for signing]...It is my understanding that "fan" does indeed come from "fanatic" just as "cad", believe it or not, comes from "cadet", "cab" from "cabriolet", "Pram" from "perambulator", and "bus" from "omnibus." As to ways and means of starting and maintaining a fan club, there you have me. I have no practical experience in the matter whatever." Signed in blue ink. Original envelope with Asimov's return address label included. Very good condition, paper with fold creases, envelope with stain. (Inventory #: 201681)
