Near Fine with binding rubbed and leather peeled in places, bookplate from the Edwin Forrest Home, Philadelphia, PA. The Edwin Forrest House was once home to the largest women's art school in the United States. Front free endpaper detached and laid in, tanning to contents with sporadic foxing. This work was written between 1792-95 while Wollstonecraft was staying in France, at a time when it was dangerous to express reservations about the revolutionary government. (truncated)
