[xiv], 188, [10] pp. Bound in publisher's three quarter black leather with blue cloth sides, lettered in gilt. A Near Fine copy with a scuff to the back panel, offsetting to paste downs.

Penn Jones was one of the most indefatigable first generation JFK assassination researchers, who ran the Midlothian Mirror newspaper in Texas, which is still in existence today. This first volume of the eventual four volume series was self-funded and published, consisting (truncated) mostly of intriguing Warren Commission testimony selections (not generally the soporific material that made it into the one-volume Warren Report) with some commentary on Dorothy Kilgallen and a few Texas journalists, all connected to Jack Ruby, who died mysteriously.
