The screenplay belonged to Hollywood agent Paul Kohner, agent and friend to such greats as John Huston, Charles Bronson, William Wyler, Ernest Hemingway, Albert Einstein, Federico Fellini, Greta Garbo, etc. Very good slightly used copy. The film tells the story of the often turbulent, but close relation ship between artists Vincent Van Gogh and Paul Gaugin. James Agee (1909 - 1955) won the Pulitzer Prize in 1958 for his novel ‘A Death in the Family’ which was adapted into a film in 1963 and titled ‘All the Way Home.’ He also wrote the classic ‘Let Us Now Praise Famous Men’ with Walker Evans and the Oscar nominated screenplay for ‘The African Queen’ with John Huston.
