Original maroon hardcover cloth binding with moderate rubbing to extremities, and splitting to rear exterior hinge. First several pages are loosened. Entirely of text is printed on somewhat brittle paper, with a few pages near the end of the text with minor chipping. A few pages with minor foxing and soiling. Illustrated by a fold-out chart, not present in the first edition, issued as part of the supplement present in this revised edition. There is no map in this volume, and no list of illustrations to let us (truncated) know if there should be one present. Previous owner's red ink stamp "John Getz" on front endpaper and neatly on title page. Getz was apparently the U.S. Ambassador to Malta in 1972.. (Inventory #: 009974)
