Two large octavo volumes (10 1/2 x 7 inches; 268 x 180 mm). xliv, 308; [4], [309]-607, [1], [1, blank], [1, colophon] pp. Numerous wood-engraved text illustrations. Printed under the direction of Bruce Rogers at The Marchbanks Press.
Original full blue denim with navy leather spine labels lettered in gilt. Top edge stained yellow, others uncut. With Number 216 (July 1950) of The Monthly Letter of The Limited Editions Club and original prospectus laid in. In the original marbled board slipcase. Slipcase with some minor wear. A fine copy.
A reissue of the Complete Poems of Robert Frost published by Henry Holt and Company in April 1949 (Crane A35). In addition to Robert Frost’s introduction, “The Figure a Poem Makes” (first printed in Collected Poems, 1939), this collection contains everything inluded in the 1930 and 1939 collections as well as all the pomes from Steeple Bush (1947), the texts of A Masque of Reason and A Masque of Mercy, and three poems previously printed elsewhere.
