The portrait of Samuel Sewall on the title page, printed from the block, was engraved by Leonard Baskin. Accompanied by an additional impression of the portrait, signed and numbered by the artist, on Japanese paper, laid in loose. Additionally numbered in pencil on the colophon. Gilt stamped leather spine and marbled boards. A very nice copy. Sewall's anti-slavery tract was originally published in Boston in 1700. Leonard Baskin, sculptor and illustrator founded the Gehenna Press in 1942 and continued (truncated)
