by [VIETNAM] MORRIS, Mark (artist)
Washington DC: New Mobilization Committee, 1970. First Edition. Original illustrated poster, offset printed in colors on white stock, measuring 39cm x 50.5cm (15.25" x 20"). Subtle toning along lower edge, some trivial wear to extremities; unbacked, very Near Fine. Striking anti-draft poster designed by Mark Morris, featuring a combat helmet-turned-flower pot, with the center of each flower containing the faces of men, women, children, and soldiers. The border of the poster details specific actions civilians could take to resist the draft: bar military recruiters from high school and college campuses, draft card turn-ins, demanding draft counselors in high schools, picketing the homes and businesses of draft board members, and talk-ins, et al. Not found in OCLC, though we note examples held at OMCA, CSPG, and Minneapolis Institute of Art. 82861. (Inventory #: 82861)
