Publisher's blue paper boards with linen spine. Octavo. 25 pp., complete. Some toning to boards and cracking to cloth. Toning to flyleaves, otherwise fresh throughout. Printed card from the Chiswick Press mounted to upper pastedown. A Very Good copy.

The printed card reads, "It is hoped that this lecture, which is printed in the 'Golden' type designed by William Morris for the Kelmscott Press, will be followed by other lectures in the same form, and at the same price...The (truncated) Kelmscott Press is now closed, and all the wood blocks of the initials and ornaments have been given to the British Museum. The type still remains under the control of the trustees, for whom this book was printed at the Chiswick Press."

The Chiswick Press also printed the Morris lectures Art and the Beauty of the Earth (1898); Some Hints on Pattern Designing (1899); Architecture and History, and Westminster Abbey (1900).
