Toronto: Coach House Press, 1967. First edition. Paperback. Near Fine. Untitled collection of books, broadsides,a flexi-disk and other pieces by Canadian concrete poet bpNichol. All housed in a cardboard slipcase (7 1/2 x 8" tall). Among the many discrete items collected here are (in no particular order): Wild Things for The Troggs (a miniature flip book), Journeying & the returns, an unpaginated poetry chapbook with laid-in card entitled A letter from Margaret Avison, Borders containing a flexi-disk and finally a manila envelope labeled Letters Home containing thirteen cards, folded broadsides, typewriter poems, a kinetic sculpture and other pieces most of them untitled. Some folded. Each one varies in size and color. The whole lot is somewhat crammed into this untitled cardboard slipcase with a printed manifesto on one side of the slipcase and the letters "bp' printed in thick black lettering on the verso of the slipcase. The poet's statment is dated 1966. The only other copywrite or publication date is contained in Journeying & the returns which states that it was published by Coach House Press in Toronto in 1967. The only collection of these pieces we have encountered. Some of them have separated over the years and indivicul items can somethimes be found for sale separately. All from quite early in the poet's career. Sold as a set of items. Quite rare thus. All items in near fine condition. Some small glue stains to the folder containing the flexidisk. The outer cardboard slipcase is lightly toned and worn. (Inventory #: 37019)
