New York: Kulchur Press, 1965. First edition. Paperback. Very Good. Sold here as a group are twelve issues (of twenty ultimately published) of Kulchur, a literary and arts magazine edited first by Marc Schleifer, then Lita Hornick with contributions by LeRoi Jones, Di Prima, O'Hara and others. Published between 1961 and 1965. This well respected journal published much important early work by a number of the Beats as well as the New York School poets. The condition of these issues vary somewhat, but most are attractive very good copies. As with many examples we have handled, the glue which originally held these mags together tends to dry out and they become quite brittle at the bindings. Thus, all copies of this magazine should be handled with care. Some of the many contributors variously to these issues were among others.Julian Beck, Robert Creeley, Frank O'Hara, Louis Zukofsky, Bill Berkson, Joseph LeSueur, Jonathan Williams, Anselm Hollo, LeRoi Jones, Michael McClure, Edwin Denby, La Monte Young, Charles Olson, Robert Duncan Peter Orlovsky, Edward Dorn, Allan Kaplan, Allen Ginsberg, Andy Warhol, Richard Brautigan, Joe Brainard, Ted Berrigan, Gerard Malanga, Robert Rauschenberg, Ron Padgett, Carolyn Kizer, David Antin, John Sinclair, Dick Gallup, Kenneth Irby and Douglas Blazek.
