The object of this work is to examine critically all special factors and rules concerning transspecific evolution, to determine their validity, and to explore the possibility of interpreting them by the evolutionary mechanisms that are know to science. Professor Dobzhansky describes this as "one of the great books which has apperad since 1940 and which may be fairly said to have given shape to the modernbiological, or synthetic, theory of evolution. Bound in blue cloth spine lettering gilt blocked in red, library pocket on front pastedown, a very nice copy in an unclipped orange dust jacket lettered in white and blue, spine faded some toning to rear panel.
