Rare 18th-century sale catalogue, priced throughout by a contemporary annotator; we locate just one example in North American institutions. The consigner was anonymous, however a contemporaneous annotation attributes the present collection to Arcambal (1728-1790), a military officer and occasional pictures dealer, his name is sometimes given as François Joseph.


A near fine copy; title-page a trifle soiled. Bookplate of the Georges Pannier to front paste-down and stamp of the Bibliothèque Heim to verso of title.
