Idle (b.1943) is a founding member of the British comedy troupe Monty Python, as well as the parody rock group The Rutles, and is the writer of the music and lyrics for the hit Broadway musical Spamalot. He also narrated the film Ella Enchanted (2004), which starred Anne Hathaway, Hugh Dancy, and Carey Elwes. Later, Idle performed as the Impressive Clergyman in a 2020 virtual live read-through of The Princess Bride script.
