Alameda County, California: Tribune Publishing Co, 1896. Printed in black and red on a 17" x 18" white linen-backed sheet. Some mild toning; otherwise very good.
Eden Township is a former township of Alameda County in the San Francisco Bay Area region, which includes the present-day cities of Hayward and San Leandro, as well as the unincorporated census-designated areas of Ashland, Castro Valley, Cherryland, Fairview, and San Lorenzo. It was created from a group of Mexican land grants that were added to Alameda County when the country was established in 1853. Today there are several public and private agencies serving the region.
The map was prepared by the George L. Nusbamer, the county surveyor. It shows the names of the owners of every parcel in the township, along with the election precincts.
OCLC locates two holdings, at the Bancroft and the California Historical Society. (Inventory #: 77118)
