Although a number of the entries in this collection first appeared in Weird Tales nearly as many were collected from Astounding Stories. This is the second collection of short stories by Wandrei to be published by Arkham House and his 6th book. A near fine copy bound in black cloth, spine lettering gilt, one corner only lightly bumped, in an unclipped pictorial dust jacket with the drawing by the author's brother Howard Wandrei who died in 1956. The design was later implemented by Frank Utpatel. slight toning to (truncated) flap edges, a few tiny spots of rubbing to spine ends. A beautiful copy. (Inventory #: 031472)
