by Wister, Owen
New York: The Macmillan Co, 1930. First Edition. Octavo. . Portrait frontispiece, 372(1) pp. Illustrated with photographic images. Roosevelt and Wister were friends for forty years. This story begins when one was a junior and the other a freshman at Harvard. It ends with the author's last stay at Sagamore Hill, in October 1918. Their friendship was never political, always personal. Bound in dark blue cloth, spine lettered and ruled in gilt, one corner lightly bumped, near fine in a very good unclipped yellow dust jacket printed in black with some chipping to spine ends, small chip to upper edge and some finger soiling. A very nice copy.
