Volumes I and II were issued with printed paper wraps that have been bound into the later hardcover cloth covers (1961, original bindery order inserted). Vol III is in the original hard cover, paper-covered binding as issued. Front hinge is starting at bottom (see illustration), spine is slightly sun-toned. Contents of all three volumes are bright, clean, devoid of foxing or markings. Owner's sig on ffl. in Vols I and II. Overall a fine, pristine set, probably as nice a set as available.

An ex-library set with their label and stamp. Volumes one and two bound in full blue cloth, spine lettering gilt, volume three bound in original paper covered boards lettered in black, some chipping to spine ends and corners.
