Printed by the inimitable Grabhorn Press, this broadside features an excerpt from Robin Lampson's (1900-1978) "Laughter Out of the Ground", a narrative poem about the California Gold Rush. The grandson of a Forty-Niner, Lampson depicts the experiences and struggles people faced during the Gold Rush with intricate language and combines philosophical musings with narrative composition in the poem.
