First and last few pages are foxed. Binding is exposed, but intact and secure. A few pages have small pen marks in the margins. However, the majority of the pages are clean. Signed on the title page by John Stephen Vaughan (1853-1925), the English Catholic bishop of Sebastopolis, and later, of Salford. Vaughan was the brother of Herbert Vaughan, who was also a Catholic bishop. John Stephen Vaughan was also a mathematics professor for a brief period at St. Bede's College, after which he did (truncated)
