. M.B. Marcell of Oregon was the photographer who had already photographed the 1911 Pendleton Round up. He was famous for taking images of the horse both at his success and also of those shots as the horse dislodged him. He came in 1914 to take images of the Miles City Round-Up which was becoming the premier event of the period just before World War I. The event was so popular that the local newspapers blamed the loss of the baseball team in two games due to three players who were rodeo participants who at least temporarily forsook the team.
