Silver print, 10.75 x 13.75 inches, Styrofoam mounted, with Hoeffler's full signature, title, and date, in ink, along with his copyright hand stamp on the back. 1957; printed late 1970s. This print is described in the "Rochester Jazz" Photographic Collection as an Exhibition Print of "John Hammond enthusiastically responding to the Count Basie Band at Newport, July 1957." Sitting next to him is his wife Esme O'Brian Sarnoff, former spouse of Robert Sarnoff, Chairman of NBC and RCA Corp. Note: Hammond is considered one of the greatest discoverers of musical talent during the 20th century and is responsible for the careers of (truncated)
