1935. VANEK, Karl. AIZ. Das Illustrierte Volksblatt. Volume XIV, No. 32. With photomontage by Karl Vanek. Folio, loose as issued. Berlin: Neuer Deutscher Verlag, 1935. AIZ, which was published from 1930 to 1938 is best known for the profusion of stunning photomontages that were created by John Heartfield. However, he was not alone in this creative endeavor and one of the people whose work also appears alongside Heartfield's is the Czech photographer Hermann Leupold (whose pseudonym was Karl Vanek).
