1869 · [Charleston, SC
by [Broadside]
[Charleston, SC: np, 1869. Single sheet (some mottling and browning), 9 1/2 x 7 5/8 in. Text printed in various sizes and styles of type. According to records at the University of South Carolina, Aimar's drug store, founded in 1852, operated at the corner of King and Vanderhorst Streets and served the community for over 125 years. As was common for pharmacists in the 19th century, Aimar compounded many of his own medicines. Hopefully no one mixed up the neurotic oil and the pearl cement. Not in Hummel or Turnbull. OCLC lists copies of this broadside at Univ. of South Carolina, College of Charleston [both dating it ca.1869], and Univ. of Rochester Med. Center [which dates its copy between 1850-1860].
