by RUDOLPH, Lou
1991. Unbound. Near Fine. Thirteen original flyers, broadsides, and one handbill by artist Lou Rudolph used to promote the art and music scene in the San Francisco Bay Area during the late 1970s to early 1990s. The flyers present images from the gay community and the area's thriving local arts scene, through Rudolph's distinctive illustrations which include depiction of Lou Reed, Cindy Williams from The B-52's, and other local punk musicians and artists; three feature photographs of Rudolph himself promoting his latest exhibition. Overall about near fine with staple holes at the corners, some scattered creasing and two with handwritten addresses and cancelled stamp on the back. A key collection of work by this underground artist who has become an alternative culture darling. (Inventory #: 382041)
