Little Rock, AR: Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, 1937. Partly printed license for the 1937-1938 season, 2 1/2 x 3 7/8 inches, completed in manuscript, with a physical description of the hunter. Hunting and fishing license pins have been widely used in the United States since at least the 1920s, but this is the first example that we have seen designed to display a portion of a regularly issued printed license. Phillips was a Little Rock businessman, active in typewriter sales and services in the 1920s and 1930s. Very good. Metal pin, with screw-on back, to (truncated)
