INSCRIBED by the author to photographer and former student John Wood on the front endpaper: "Jan. 1951 / To John Wood, a fine photographer [and] person. / with compliments / Keld Helmer-Petersen." An important, early book of color photography, prefiguring the work of William Eggleston and Stephen Shore by nearly three decades. Scarce in any condition.

Very Good plus in a Very Good dust jacket. Owner stamp matching the inscription on the front pastedown. Board edges lightly toned, front board slightly bowed, foxing to the endpapers, but interior pages clean and bright. Jacket (truncated) is chipped and rubbed, with a few closed tears, and foxing to the white portions of both the front and rear panels. Text in Danish and English.
