Small letter sheet, folded into four pages, 21 lines of text over two pages, docketed, remnant of old wax seal. Splits at some of the folds, partially repaired with archival tape, a couple of tears in the margins and along edges, piece missing from the second leaf, affecting a few letters, a few words penciled in by a previous owner, some aging and browning; despite the imperfections very legible, and in decent shape overall. This document relates to a letter to John Reade from Robert Horne agreeing to the terms of Reade renting a house in Red Hook for $300 a year. Presumably this refers to the Red Hook section of Brooklyn. The letter appears to have been (truncated)
