Program, 4to, pictorial covers, illustrated. Slight aging, very minor soiling to covers, and a little wear at extremities and spine; covers generally bright, clean, and firm; a very good plus copy. After passing on the World Series in 1940, the Yanks were back in 1941, after pretty much destroying the American league that year. The Yanks picked up the World Championship in five games, setting the stage for winning several World Series encounters against the Dodgers. Key players for the Dodgers included, Pete Reiser, Dixie Walker, Walter Higbe and Pee Wee Reese. Joe McCarthy's Yankees included legendary Joe DiMaggio, Phil Rizzuto, Tommy Henrich and Charlie Keller.
