This was the only book Morris printed for the American public, and the only Kelmscott book to bear the name of an American publisher. The English and American copies have a slightly different colophon. The shoulder-notes were added by Morris. Way became a personal disciple of Morris, and later visited England to see him at Kelmscott House, where he was told how Morris "wanted to make some nice books, but had no thought of developing such a business as has come (truncated)
