Lacks the added engraved title page with Sartain's vignette, else complete. 28 x 22 cm. A fair copy in red publishers' cloth with decorative blind stamping, gilt centerpiece, all edges gilt. The binding is soiled, with the front board detached; the text block is a little loose at the spine, but still snug, with moderate scattered foxing. Features an early printing of Mary Shelley's "A Dirge; 'This morn, thy gallant bark, love,'" and two fine mezzotint engravings by John Sartain (1808-1897). Also includes a mezzotint portrait of "The Wild Rose" by J. Gross that near approaches the excellence of Sartain. (Inventory #: 339930)
