Charming map of the French province Languedoc with a coat of arms and a decorative ship in the sea issued in 1735. Covers the French winemaking regions in southern France in beautiful detail. Main map is bordered by town plans and birds-eye views of Anduze, Montpelier, Privas, Narbonne, Sommieres, Pezenas, Nismes (Nimes), Pont S. Esprit, Alez, Lunel, Sauve and Vzez. The region of Languedoc is one of the largest wine producing region in France with some of the oldest vineyards. It is also famous for the production of cheeses including the Pelardon (truncated) and Perail cheeses.
