1965. BENCHLEY, Nathaniel. Typed Letter Signed. A one-page typed letter signed, dated Aug. 21, 1965: "To ___, I seem to be a little out of practice with the pencil, but I hope that the enclosed will be of some small help...as though anything could. A relative of mine had your problem a couple of years ago, and I know that the hours are indeed long. Most sincerely, Nathaniel Benchley." Enclosed with the letter is a pencil sketch on an 8.5" by 11" sheet of blank paper, of a beach scene with stairs and dunes- inscribed, signed and dated by Benchley. Not bad, actually! [2]: $185.00.
