Boston: Weeks, Jordan, 1838. Hardcover. Very Good. First edition. 424 pp. Illustrated with a frontispiece and three leaves of plates. New York Typographical Society stamp on the title page. Very good in contemporary half morocco and patterned cloth, marbled endpapers; with moderate scuffing to the cloth, and some fraying and sunning to the cloth edges; the front joint is about three-quarters detached at the spine ends, but the front board is still snugly attached, corners are gently bumped, with the page edges a bit stained. The first plate facing page 18 and pp.19-22 protrude just a touch from the gutter at the bottom of the gathering. Very fine lithographs (truncated)
