1970. unbound. 10 x 8-inch black-and white photograph of the great jazz trumpeter seated, smiling, and holding his instrument. From the Howard Moliff Collection, inscribed in thick black marker: "To Howard, The Best, Harry Sweets Edison." No place, no date, circa 1970. Inscription partially worn; otherwise fine. Edison joined Count Basie in 1937 and stayed with him until Basie broke up his band in 1950. He toured with Josephine Baker and accompanied Billy Holiday, Red Norvo, Woody Herman, and Lester Young.
