VG in its pictorial boards with somewhat soiled endsheets but generally very clean chromolithographed plates. Tall quarto, 28 sumptuous, full-color plates. Text to each plate provided by the incomparable L. Frank Baum, who in this very same year published his first Oz book, "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz". Beautifully illustrated by Harry Kennedy, "this book was illumined and hand lettered by Charles J. Costello (Inventory #: 3063)
