Moving Picture Souvenir Book Rockefeller Center [together with several ticket stubs]

New York: Pickwick, Ltd, 1939. Wraps (glossy card). With outer envelope. Fine. A scarce flip book combined with a profusely illustrated tourist brochure of Rockefeller Center, then still an exciting relatively new office complex and tourist destination. Only institutional copy recorded on OCLC First Search at Columbia, and no other copies available in e-commerce on the day of our listing. The flip portion shows the Rockettes high kicking. Oblong, 9 by 12.5 cm. 64 pp., not including inside covers with their full page color photos. Color photos dominate this compact book. Besides the wraps, inside and out, every recto folowing the title page features a (truncated) full page color photo, and even the title page has a wide center bar with an iconic view of the RCA Building, which is the centerpiece of the development, then and now. The left portion of the versos is given over to the flip book cells, about a third of the page, and these are also color photos of the legendary dance company. To their right is the textual content, but on seven pages, there is an additional smaller color photo above the text. There are three ticket stubs for admission to various tours, one being a die-cut shaped ticket, the shape being the RCA Building tower. Light wear. The mailing envelope was not used. It has a light film of dusty soiling which probably can be removed if one wishes to make the effort. Also a few short stray ink marks and a very minor closed tear by clasping piece.
