Printed and bound in Italy. Often not cited, Edith Elizabeth Bull and Alice Blanche Ellis produced all of the watercolors reproduced in the volume. First Folio Society Facsimile Edition. Volume I: 77 Plates, Unpag. Folio. Volume II: xvi, 157 pp. Folio. Green cloth boards with peach and apple illustrations embossed in gold on cloth covers. Volume I is bound with a green leather (truncated) spine and the head of the text block is gilded, Volume II in full green cloth and both volumes have gold embossed titling on the spine. Green silk ribbon bookmarks are bound into each. A separate green paper folder contains four loose color plates of the same size as those in Volume I and suitable for framing. (Inventory #: 31721)
