Architectural details designed by the Venetian Andreas Palladio (1508-1580), whose architecture is characterized by its symmetry and balance, influenced by the classical design of Ancient Greece and Rome.

Greatly inspired by Palladio's neo-classical restraint, Leoni sought to incorporate this simplicity of design with the prevailing Baroque trends of ornamentation. Leoni republished Palladio's (truncated)
