Garrett's first published book, a skeptical look at Wall Street in eleven brief chapters, with headings such as "The Hall of Delusions," "The Hoodoo," "The Manipulator," (truncated) "The Wall Street Wolf," etc. Garrett went on to a long career as a journalist and right-wing commentator, noted especially for his vituperative attacks on FDR and the New Deal which appeared in a regular series of articles in the Saturday Evening Post throughout the Great Depression.
