by [Frank Fehr Brewing Company]
Coshocton, OH: The HD Beach Company, 1890. Beer tray [71 cm x 56 cm] / [28" x 22"] lithograph on tin. a few small nicks with rubbing in a few places, overall a nice example of this scare piece of brewing history. The Frank Fehr Brewing Company was founded in Louisville in 1872, and produced 593 barrels of beer. It joined the Central Consumers Corp. with other breweries in 1901, when it was producing 120,000 barrels of beer. Fehr Brewery was the only brewery in the corporation to reopen after Prohibition. The brewery closed in 1964, and the last 7000 barrels of beer were dumped down the drain to avoid paying taxes on the beer.
