Original full saffron morocco with blind-stamped decorative covers and gilt lettering on spine, with original glassine, in black paper-covered chemise, gilt lettered spine, and housed in black paper-covered slipcase. This edition was decorated, designed and illuminated by hand by Valenti Angelo. Set in monotype Centaur on Japanese Kozo paper. The Rubaiyat was written in the late 11th and early 12th centuries by the Persian poet, mathematician, astronomer, and poet Omar Khayyam.
