In the dust jacket, with periodic small open tears in the edges. The largest tear is to the top of the jacket's spine, measuring just under 2" wide by 1/4" deep at its deepest point. The jacket's spine is sunned, however the title is still bold. This is the 1940 first edition, selected by Bernard DeVoto from the unpublished parts of Twain's autobiography, which was copyrighted 1922. (Inventory #: 68662)
