Connell's best known book and the basis in part for the movie "Mr. and Mrs. Bridge" which starred Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman. A very good copy in two tone cloth boards with a bookplate to the front pastedown, and a small former owner's mailing label to the front free endpaper and in a fair dust jacket with a large chip to the rear panel, and numerous smaller chips, tears and wear.
