This book contains articles Roosevelt had written for the Metropolitan Magazine, his contributions to the Wheeler Syndicate, and a couple of speeches. In addition, there is much new matter. He said the principles set forth in this book are simply the principles of true Americanism with and without our own borders, the principles which, according to my abilities, I have preached and, according to (truncated) my abilities, I have practiced for the thirty-fine years since, as a very young man,, I first began to take an active interest in American History and in American political life. A lovely near fine copy bound in maroon cloth lettered in gilt, spine lettering gilt, in a very good, printed dust jacket with a closed tear to upper edge through the "A" in Fear, a very tiny, closed edge tear to upper edge of rear panel and a large piece torn away at head of spine, and a few spots to spine.
