Front board just a trifle warped. In the dust jacket, with light rubbing and chipping to the edges. Ex-libris Michael Barraclaugh Pulman, with his bookplate on the front pastedown. Born in England, 1933, Pulman taught as a professor of history at University of Denver (1971-1991). He later moved to Santa Fe, N.M. and eventually became President of the Santa Fe Botanic Garden. Inscribed by Oliphant on the front free endpaper: "Best wishes from Pat Oliphant." Below the inscription (truncated)
