First edition. Standard tour by one of Johnson’s most endearing friends whose marriage after the death of her husband Henry Thrale to Gabriel Mario Piozzi, the music teacher to her children. This event damaged the relationship with Johnson and others her social class and she and her husband spent much of the remaining years of their lives traveling, especially to Italy.
