A rare Matisse exhibition catalogue, seemingly his second show with the gallery run by Gaston and Joseph Bernheim-Jeune. Matisse was under an exclusive contract with Bernheim-Jeune at this time. 39 paintings and one entry of drawings are listed. The lower wrapper bears printed announcements for upcoming exhibitions of Valadon, Utrillo, Van Vorst, and Bonnard.
