Poet and artist, e. e. cummings sketched a full length woman dressed in tight fighting clothing wearing a hat and holding a handbag, standing with hand on hip seeming to look down. A small group of people is suggested in the distance. The drawing is rendered in pencil on thin artists paper measuring almost 8 1/4 x 10 1/4. The poet and and artist signed in pencil in his typical small hand in the lower left, "cummings." Another small signature appears in the lower right. (Inventory #: 4508)
